This support is particularly suited to children for whom school is not currently working, students who are anxious about attending school, home educated learners, and young people who need support rebuilding confidence and re-engaging with learning.
Support for Children Who Need Something Different
Some children appear to be coping at school, but are struggling underneath.
They may be academically able and not meeting the threshold for additional support in school, but still feel overwhelmed, anxious or unable to learn at their best. For some children, masking throughout the school day can leave them exhausted, disconnected from learning and unable to reach their potential.
Our bespoke programmes are designed for children who need a calmer, more personalised learning environment where support can be shaped around them.
This may include students experiencing anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance, neurodivergence, low confidence, disengagement from learning, or difficulty accessing education in a typical classroom setting.
Who Could benefit from Bespoke Tuition?
Bespoke tuition may be suitable for children and young people who:
· Need 1:1 tuition or highly personalised support
· Are finding school difficult, overwhelming or anxiety-provoking
· Are experiencing EBSA, emotionally based school avoidance
· Are academically able but not thriving in the classroom
· Are neurodivergent and may be masking, overwhelmed or struggling to engage with learning
· Need support alongside school as part of a reduced or flexible timetable
· Are home educated or have been deregistered from school
· Need GCSE support or exam preparation
· Need help rebuilding confidence, routine and learning habits
· Need a more flexible pathway than a weekly group class can provide
The aim is not simply to cover subject content. It is to help each child feel safer, more confident and more able to engage with learning again
When to Choose Bespoke Tuition Instead of Small Group Classes
Small group classes are a good option for children who benefit from regular structured support in a collaborative environment.
Bespoke tuition is usually more appropriate when a child needs a more individual pathway, daytime education, 1:1 support, or a programme that sits alongside school, home education or alternative provision.
Parents may choose bespoke tuition when:
· Their child needs support during the school day
· Their child is not currently attending school full time
· Their child is home educated and needs subject or exam support
· Their child is experiencing school-related anxiety or EBSA
· Their child needs a gentle pathway back into learning
· A school has agreed or commissioned alternative provision
· A standard group class would not provide enough flexibility
Where support takes place alongside school, this may need to be agreed or commissioned by the school.
What Bespoke Programmes Can Include
Every bespoke programme is shaped around the child’s needs, confidence, current level and goals.
1:1 tuition
Individual support in English, Maths, Science or project-based learning, tailored to the student’s current level and learning needs.
Targeted subject support
Focused help with specific gaps, topics, skills or areas of difficulty.
GCSE and exam preparation
Support for students working towards exams, including subject knowledge, confidence, revision skills and exam technique.
Home education support
Structured learning for families who are home educating or have deregistered from school.
Alternative provision
Daytime education for students who need support outside the usual classroom setting, where appropriate and agreed.
Project-based learning
Six-week blocks designed to build engagement, confidence, curiosity and independence through student-led structured projects.
Confidence and re-engagement
Support for students who have lost confidence, become anxious about learning, or need a gentler route back into education.

Availability and Programme Structure
Bespoke tuition is flexible and depends on the child’s needs, the subject required, the time of day and the number of hours per week.
Project-based learning is usually offered in six-week blocks.
Other bespoke support can be arranged more flexibly, including 1:1 tuition, daytime learning, GCSE support and alternative provision where appropriate.

Current Bespoke Tuition Availability
Bespoke tuition sessions are arranged around each child’s needs, subject requirements and the type of support required. These sessions may include 1:1 tuition, targeted subject support, GCSE preparation, home education support, project-based learning or alternative provision.
Availability changes throughout the year and the September timetable is expected to change, so we do not publish fixed student slots here. Please contact us to discuss current availability and the most suitable options for your child.
We will advise whether we currently have space, which subjects and times may be possible, and whether small group classes, bespoke tuition or an alternative pathway would be the best starting point.
